Neurodiversity Celebration Week is March 13-19

World Down Syndrome Day is March 21st

Before you check out the resources below, here are a few fun facts:
1. Every year, on March 21, people all around the world Rock their Socks to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks.
2.  March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosomeSince there are three 21s, World Down Syndrome day is March 21st (3/21).
3. In 2018, Neurodiversity Celebration Week was started by Siena Castellon when she was 16 years old.
4. Over 1,400 schools and 865,000 students worldwide took part in Neurodiversity Celebration Week in March of 2021.
5. Five neurodiversities are: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Dyscalculia
