The North Penn School District (NPSD) is proud to announce that North Penn High School (NPHS) senior Allison Yang has been selected as a National Honor Society (NHS) Scholarship recipient at the National Level.

Allison was chosen from more than 11,000 applicants nationwide and was selected as one of 575 semifinalists to receive a scholarship for $3,200 toward higher education. Recipients are chosen based on their demonstrated work to support the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership and character. Allison is currently the Treasurer for the NPHS Chapter of the NHS and plans to attend Princeton University in the fall.

The NHS Scholarship Fund has been established to support and grow the prestigious NHS Scholarship program. For nearly 100 years, NHS members have been making a difference in their schools and communities through their scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Alumni include celebrated individuals from all walks of life, including the arts and sciences, government, education, medicine, the military, politics and athletics.

To recognize the most outstanding NHS members, the organization has been awarding its respected NHS Scholarship to hundreds of students every year-helping make their higher education aspirations more affordable.
